About
Hi i’m David Tranberg, a Linux and open-source enthusiast who enjoys self-hosting services, running a homelab, and experimenting with new technologies. This site is where I share projects, configs, and lessons learned from running and breaking systems.
When I’m not deep in config files or debugging a self-hosted service, I explore the creative world of stop motion animation and video production — all powered by open-source tools wherever possible.
Experienced IT Professional & Problem Solver
I’m an experienced IT professional with over 20 years of hands-on expertise in technical support and system administration. From my early career at Novo Nordisk Security to my role at CIMT in RegionH (healtcare), I’ve consistently delivered reliable, efficient IT solutions across a wide range of platforms and environments.
My background spans certifications in Cisco CCNA, Microsoft SQL and IT-Administrator. I combine strong technical knowledge with a genuine passion for problem-solving and a proactive approach to user needs.
Throughout my career, I’ve implemented secure identity solutions such as MitID Erhverv and MIFARE ID cards, deployed cloud services including OneDrive, and maintained access control systems for large-scale organizations. Hardware testing, and digital media production.
Outside of IT, I’ve run my own wakeboard camp in Sri Lanka and worked as a freelance video and graphic designer producing digital content and music videos. Earlier in my career, I worked as a diving instructor in France and Jamaica — teaching and guiding people through underwater experiences.
On a personal level, I’m passionate about life on the water — sailing, stand up paddling and kitesurfing whenever the opportunity arises. I’ve also spent years in the world of extreme overclocking, including hardware testing, reviews, and competing in international competitions.
